Quantum Dot Nanocrystals for Solar Cells is another research topic of GUNAM. As known, under AM 1.5 radiations, only a little part of the spectrum can be absorbed. By quantum dots(nanocrystals) it is possible to absorb higher and lower part of the spectrum since QDs have tunable bandgaps by size effect of nanoparticles. By photoluminescence bandgaps of QDs can be conserved directly in different matrixes (SiO2, Al2O3, SiC). Also indirect observation of the bandgap change of the matrix can be monitored.
